A few years ago, I found myself in a place I never expected—stuck. It was one of those moments where life throws challenges your way, and instead of feeling like I had the tools to handle them, I felt overwhelmed. I was dealing with a major life change—one that I had chosen—but as soon as I stepped into it, doubt started creeping in.
I kept asking myself the same questions on repeat:
What if I made the wrong choice?
What if I fail?
What if I can’t handle this?
So, I tried it.
Instead of What if I fail? I asked:
👉 What can I learn from this, no matter how it turns out?
Instead of What if this doesn’t work out? I asked:
👉 What if this is leading me to something even better than I planned?
And do you know what happened?

Show Notes
Curiosity isn’t just a nice-to-have. Science tells us that it's tied to cognitive flexibility and stress reduction. When I began approaching challenges with curiosity instead of panic, I changed how my brain processed uncertainty. This episode isn’t just theory—it’s lived experience backed by research, and I’m breaking it down so you can apply it in your own life too.
Topics Discussed in the Episode:
How a mindset shift turned a power outage into a personal breakthrough
The science of curiosity and its role in resilience and stress management
Childhood trauma, survival instincts, and how curiosity interrupts fear
Five powerful ways to cultivate curiosity and increase your adaptability
Why curiosity is a skill—and how you can start practicing it today
5 ways to help build your “I wonder” to build resilience:
Step 2: Try Something New Every Day
Step 3: Ask Open-Ended Questions
Step 4: Engage with People Who Think Differently
Step 5: Reframe Uncertainty as an Adventure
The takeaway? Curiosity is a skill we can develop—and the more we practice it, the more adaptable, resilient, and open we become. And, as you are going through this process forgive yourself when you slip up or forget. I forget all the time. Don’t get mad—OK? Instead, just pat yourself on the back and say; “we will be closer to doing it next time.”
Thank you for joining today's discussion. Remember, Small shifts, big impact. You deserve to feel strong, vibrant, and capable, because you are!
Stay well, and until next time, question the norm, trust your wisdom, elegantly and unapologetically roar. And most of all lady, keep being fascinating and sage with sass and grace in every day life.
